Co-workers are our most valued customers and are entitled to a 15% discount on any home furnishings and food sold in our stores. All our centres are anchored by IKEA, and co-workers from our centres are welcome to dine at co-worker restaurants that serve fresh, healthy subsidised meals.

Medical, maternity and paternity leave

Our co-workers enjoy medical, dental, eye checks and more in a comprehensive health insurance package. We also give mothers four consecutive months of maternity leave and fathers receive four weeks of paid time off after a baby has arrived to help share the joys – and responsibilities – at home.

As a technician in the Facilities team of our Toppen shopping centre in Johor Bahru, 24-year-old Khairi was surprised to find that he was entitled to a full month of for paternity leave when he had third baby.

“First time I have worked for a company that is caring like this. Before, I had two days off. Now, I am so happy to have a whole month at home with my baby boy. I was able to take care of my wife, help out with our other children and just be with our baby. It made a big difference. This is just one of the things that I love about working for Ikano Centres!”
